It's about time I got online and started sharing my thoughts directly, rather than through others.
I am interested in most things that have anything to do with man and the environment. I have worked as an environmental scientist for a large environmental agency, as a teacher of schoolchildren (k-12), and as an organic gardener. What brings all of these vocations together is my passion for healthy ecosystems, wherever they may be found. I worry greatly about the myriad ways in which we take our planet for granted, each and every day; and I hope, perhaps through this blog, that I might contribute something positive to our collective sense of things, so that we might take our next steps a little more carefully, thinking more about the broader set of impacts that arise from whatever changes we impose on the world.
Although my environmental interests are quite broad, my particular interests these days revolve around the nexus between energy and environment. My next post will deal with some specifics that particularly keep my "engine running" these days...
